The Opportunity:

This is a remote freelance opportunity to help develop a high-performance UDP media player that integrates with FFmpeg for real-time streaming. Reliability and low latency are at the heart of the project goals, and your contribution will be key to reaching that outcome. While this begins as a single project, there is future potential for ongoing collaboration.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Developing a lightweight UDP streaming player using the Go programming language.
• Integrating FFmpeg for efficient media processing and transcoding support.
• Optimizing performance for real-time playback (low latency, minimal packet loss).
• Writing clean, modular, well-documented code that can scale.
• Collaborating with the Alteox engineering team for smooth integration and performance tuning.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience working with Go (Golang) in a production environment.
• Deep understanding of UDP networking principles and data transmission.
• Hands-on experience using FFmpeg in streaming or media projects.
• Ability to tackle challenges independently and deliver robust code under minimal supervision.
• Strong debugging and system optimization skills.
